I like Galloway in the starting lineup, dishes the rock nicely and would have had at least 3 more assists had Perry Stevenson cleanly fielded the ball....also AJ Stewart has some confidence now and is starting to show he can play at this level.

The one thing that really has me scratching my head still is the Cats are up by 50 with under 5 minutes to go and still has Pat and Jodie Meeks in the game.....I know BCG bases all playing time on practice performance but it isn't worth the risk IMO...

UK seems to play better when Galloway is on the floor. He needs to get some confidence in his shooting, although his passing is fun to watch.

If you want to have any notable success in March at all, you'll watch these games and love them :thumb:

Please elaborate...

??????????????????

I think Meeks was the first player since Kevin Grevey to score 20 points in a half after scoring 40 in a game.

TSU was not very good...especially in transition.

Should beat a team like that bad.

They just need to keep improving a play with confidence.

I like how the light has seemingly come on for AJ Stewart. If he can continue his growth of what he has shown the last few games, it would be like gaining a midseason transfer.

Spoke with NBA scout last night, had an interesting conversation with him about all things college basketball and NBA.

He confirmed many of my original thoughts on Patterson..regarding playing hard and his shortcomings.

A Cov. Catholic avatar? Why not a UK avatar?

I am a UK fan!!! Just do not think they will beat U of L.

A Cov Cath avatar would be a fitting alternative, IMO. I figured the losing side would sport the "rivals" avatar (although Cov Cath may have to win a few more this century or it might cease to be considered a rivalry...:D). I'll let Wire and Rondo come up with something else if they see fit, but I have a funny feeling I will not be changing the mighty Bluebird avatar any time soon...

Do you read the thread? lol This was posted right before yours...

No actually I didn't, but I was wondering about that. I figured maybe Mercer and Anderson might have snuck it in there at some point.

Please elaborate...

These games hold a very legitimate purpose in the grand scheme of things. UK lost Bradley and Crawford (their only two proven players outside of Patterson). Coming into this season, the Cats have no idea what they really have outside of Patterson - no way to tell what the new guys will do, Meeks coming off a serious injury, how will Stevenson and Harris develop... There were alot of questions. So, you lighten the schedule up a bit and give the team some time to develop and the staff some time to see what they're working with. Its not as if we have played 15 consecutive cupcakes - remember @UNC, @U of L, West Virginia, Kansas State, and Miami (FL). That's about 1/3 of the games against legitimate BCS schools (and I'm not even counting Indiana this season). There's no shame in that schedule with a team like this.

So? What has happened? Well, they weren't ready for the first game against a team that plays the style of VMI. That was a reciped for disaster. If we played VMI again, we'd beat them by 20-30. We obviously were nowhere near ready to play at #1 UNC in the 2nd game. To this point, the team has been a work in progress. If you notice now, they are starting to have a little more flow on offense, the defense is playing great, and the players are giving a little more effort. That is called a team that is starting to gel. The hopes would be to beat the next two teams that we're supposed to beat and then take the next "test" on the road at U of L. Then, the team heads into conference play when its starting to hit its stride.

Is that elaborate enough for you?
