Highlands is reeling coming off 2 straight losses. Newport hasnt really beaten anybody yet but has an athletic group. Game is at Highlands.

With Highlands in the dumps as of lately I can really see Newport pushing this one up and winning 10+.

Ill say that Highlands wins by 5, but really wouldn't be surprised to see Newport win.

Newport isn't disciplined enough to beat the Birds.

 

Highlands tough defense will give them fits.

 

Look for Highlands to get back on track and win in the 15-20 range.

Having seen both Newport and Highlands this year, I feel pretty confident that Highlands wins handily.

 

Newport really struggles in a half court offense. One of Highlands biggest strengths is their half court defense.

Newport isn't disciplined enough to beat the Birds.

 

Highlands tough defense will give them fits.

 

Look for Highlands to get back on track and win in the 15-20 range.

 

Newport is better than you give them credit for. I highly doubt its that large of a blowout.

If Newport can play their game (fast pace) I see them winning this without a problem.

I've seen both teams play............. Newport has a strong first five and not much depth. HHS has struggled to get teams in foul trouble but would really start to benefit if they did, particularly in a game like this. Sorry, but for this reason I feel it would benefit HHS more to run.

 

Not sure if Tucker is healthy, if not this game will not stay close. HHS has to shoot better or it will be a long season. Saw some discussion about the Birds intensity and agree that it is lacking...........coaching style is part of that, looks like the doghouse is full again this year.

Newport is better than you give them credit for. I highly doubt its that large of a blowout.

 

And Highlands is better than they're being given credit for. Don't let their two recent losses fool you. They are a solid team but are going through a transition right now there they're trying to get their football kids involved and cohesive with the regulars.
