Listen to me when I say this. CoD4 is the best game I have probably ever played.

COD4 far superior. If I wanted to play a WWII game, I could go play COD1-3.

 

World at War is far better than 1-3. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do.

I've never played any of the Call of Duty games other than COD4.

 

COD4 is the greatest video game I've ever played, bar none. Incredible graphics & just a lot of fun. I'd be willing to give World At War a shot, but I don't know how it could be any better than COD4.

 

The graphics are better IMO. They're definitely more violent.

 

But the game play and story mode is far better in COD4. I haven't played COD World at War online yet.

A buddy of mine is a huge fan of the series and he agrees with that. He loves COD4 and COD5. While he is partial to 4 he also says that there is not much of a drop between 4 and 5.

 

I have only played 5 and I only play it on hardcore, something about actually having to sight down the barrel and the guns being more powerful gives it a tad bit more realism to me. That's just PR's opinion though.

That wasn't as punny as you might think.

If you beat the game mode on Cod5 there is a perk called nazi zombie. Its an online game, You and three friends get locked into a house and try to keep tons of nazi zombies out by shooting them. Its pretty addicting.

I like them both. COD4 is a little better IMO. My son and some of his freinds got to level 25 or 26 or somewhere like that in Nazi Zombies. They were 1 level from setting the world record.

I have tried it, and yes, I know it's better than the first three. The point I'm making is that one of the biggest things COD4 has going for it is that it was a new direction in the series, and it revitalized everything. They did update the engine for COD4, but I think the modern warfare is just as big. Then for COD5 they go right back to where they've been, and for the most part they just kept the same engine from COD4. No innovation.

I've played both and in my opinion I like the campaign on CoD5 better. I like the flame thrower alot. Online however I like CoD4 better. I would suggest them both and there's really not much drop from 4 to 5 except the guns I like the modern guns better myself.
