"They messed up my swack." What is your favorite pro athlete comments?

"That's my quarterback"! :cry::cry::cry:

-T.O.

“I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father”

-Greg Norman

:lol::lol::lol:

One of my favorites is from the 95 Orange Bowl. Nebraska was losing to Miami in the second half and Tommie Frazier who had been out most of the game came into the game. Warren Sapp said to Frazier " Where ya been Tommie?" Frazier replied " It's not where I've been fat boy, it's where Im going."

He then proceeded to lead the comeback and win the game and the national title for the Huskers. That was pretty sweet.

I couldn't remember who said the above quote, so I tried to look it up, and found the 20 dumbest sports quotes of all time (with some funny commentary)...allow me to share a few of them with you.

No. 18 NFL QB Joe Theismann

"Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."

Yeah Norman Einstein, just like our first president, you know, Bob Washington.

No. 17 NBA Star Jason Kidd

"We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees."

I doubt this comment was made when his team was doing well, so I will leave the thinking to you.

No. 16 NBA Star Tracy McGrady

"My career was sputtering until I did a 360 and got headed in the right direction."

Right Tracy, the same direction Jason Kidd turned his team towards.

No. 15 NBA Star Shaquille O'Neal

"I've won at every level, except college and pro."

All I can do is shake my head.

No. 14 NFL Star Jerry Rice

"I feel like I'm the best, but you're not going to get me to say that."

Of course I am not going to get you to say that Jerry, just keep thinking that.

No. 13 Boxer Floyd Patterson

"Fear was absolutely necessary. Without it, I would have been scared to death."

So without the fear, you would not be scared. That's perfect logic right there.

No. 12 Boxer Mike Tyson

"He called me a 'rapist' and a 'recluse'. I'm not a recluse."

Well I am glad you cleared that up Mike. Being a recluse would be horrible. Thank God you're just a rapist.

NO. 8 NFL Coach Bill Cower

"We're not attempting to circumcise rules."

Is that possible?

No. 6 NBA Coach Doug Collins

"Any time Detroit scores more than 100 points and holds the other team below 100 points, they almost always win."

Doug, if they have ever lost after putting up 100 and allowing less than 100, you must be high.

No. 1 MLB Player Tug McGraw

"I dunno. I never smoked any Astroturf."

That was his response when asked if preferred grass or Astroturf.

Trust me Tug, that astroturf is good (stuff).

Those are hilarious but you left out the 3 that I like best!

No. 3 NFL Coach Bill Belichick

"I don't think there's anybody in this organization not focused on the 49ers...I mean Chargers."

No. 5 College Basketball Player Chuck Nevitt

"My sister's expecting a baby, and I don't know if I'm going to be an uncle or an aunt.".

No. 9 MLB Player Dan Osinski

Repsonse when a waitress asked if he wanted his pizza cut into six or eight slices.

"Better make it six; I can't eat eight."

"We're talkin' bout practice."

When I saw this thread title, I was reminded of the great joke Lewis Black told on his first album.

"If it weren't for my horse, I would have never spent that year in college."

Anyhoo, as for SPORTS related, I have posted this quote before and it still makes me laugh to this day. Stacey King was asked after a game what it was like being on the floor with Jordan that night.

"It was amazing, I get to tell my kids about the night me and Jordan scored 70 in game."

Jordan scored 69, Stacey had 1.

What made the swagger jack comment funny was that on one of the morning episodes, (I forgot who said it), but one of the sportscenter guys said, "yeah man I can remember when I got swagger jacked once, and it messed me up bad." And the way he said it made it sound just like if Kenny Mayne would have said it. That sold it right there being you know how cheezy but funny the sports center guys can be.
