External Hard Drive

Featured Replies

Seagate. I've heard great things about them. Shoot for the 1TB model, it'll take a while for you to fill it up.

Later.

Sure. I thought I'd never fill up my first 5MB hard drive either. :D
I see a Seagate 500gb advertised on TV now. Anybody know what it sells for?

Depends on which one it is. Bestbuy has Seagate 500gb external drives from $90-$230.

On Slickdeals, there is a 250gb Western Digital for $60.

I have a Seagate 350g external hard drive. I store all of my pictures and other important documents. I also moved a lot of stuff off of my computer and it help a lot with it's speed.

Best Buy has a Seagate - FreeAgent Desk 500GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive right now for $119.99.
Will be used for storing music, home movies, and pictures.

Any suggestions.

I'm looking at a 1TB model.
Best Buy also has a Western Digital - My Book Home 1TB External FireWire/USB 2.0/eSATA Hard Drive for $209.99. Or you can get it from Amazon for $149.99.
^ I had a 200GB drive that was fried in the big windstorm earlier this year. The computer and everything else was fine... but I lost a LOT of music. The amount of stuff that just vanished in a heartbeat was incredible. It's also why I'm now so dedicated to Seagate and their drives without needing a wall plug for power.

Which Seagate models are you talking about that don't need wall power? Are these full-size or portable?
