Is Shover still out? If he plays it will be a good game, if not birds win going away.

Shover will be out for atleast a month...maybe longer...

I'd say either Grote or Kowolonek, but probably Grote since he is the better defender. If I had to guess:

Gordon v Ives

Watson v Sorrell/Pauly

Grote v Maile

Kowolonek v Wellbrock

Dill v Thelen

Highlands 68-60.

Cov Cath scoring 60 points? Maybe if Maile scores 40 points they will put 60 on the scoreboard.

HHS 68-59

Highlands has started off really well and Cov Cath very bad... Highlands should come out with the victroy but it is a rivalry and it is under a neat atmosphere!

ANYTHING could happen but i still say Highlands comes out with a W.

Willie will get the job done

CCH scored 61 against Conner....Maile had 25...FWIW

BTW, the match ups for the game should be as follows:

Pauly v Gordon

Ives v Kowolonek

Maile v Grote

Counts v Watson

Wellbrock v Dill

I originally made a mistake with the CCH starters.

The atmosphere for CovCath / HHS will be a different than what we are used to. The confines of both schools gyms always led to an interesting climate. :D

The key for Highlands is to be physical and apply pressure to the CCH guards. Apply pressure and you'll get a lot of turnovers out of CCH. Their guards don't handle it well and I believe have turned the ball over around 50-60 times in 3 games.

Offensively they just need to do what they've been doing. Run their offense and find the open man. The more you force CCH to play defense, the more likely you are to find a weak spot and have an opening for an easy basket.

For CCH the key for them is ball control. The guards have to be able to handle the Birds tough man to man D and be able to take care of the ball. Also need to try and get the ball inside more. If they try to play an outside/in game rather than inside/out and live by the three, HHS will run them off the floor the way Conner did in the 4th quarter the other night.

I like Highlands chances at being successful more than CCH. They are really struggling right now and not playing as a team.

Ever see a Willie Schlarman team that didn't do the above?? Highlands by about 15.

I'll be there as well. Look forward to seeing you guys tomorrow and seeing the new arena.

Bluebirds smack around the BlueBoys and win by 10 or more. The nighmare continues for CCH. My how quickly the mighty have fallen, could they go winless until 09? Can anyone else hear that bellowing coming from Park Hills? Stay tuned, I'm sure the ride is going to get bumpy, could it replace the football soap opera?
