This atmosphere is the closest that you can come to duplicating a regional championship game environment, during the regular season.

 

Last season Campbell County had their way with the Mustangs who were returning no experience to their starting lineup. This year four of those five starters will be back on the floor - a year older and wiser.

 

Campbell County certainly has the height advantage, Brossart is probably stronger at the guards.

Regardless of the outcome, it will be a great tripleheader of hoops come Saturday at the middle school.

 

The Brossart-Campbell Co freshmen game at 4:30pm is shaping up to be a dandy. Come early - Stay late.

More heart? I guess you haven't seen the Camels the last few years. They play as hard as anyone. That being said, I expect a hard fought battle. If Reiger steps up things could get interesting. Should be a fun and exciting atmosphere as always when these two lace it up.

 

 

I think you mean the last "year", as Scott has them trying to match that BB hustling, defensive minded style? Definately a lot more fun game than when it was Code and Code, and BB dominated for quite a few years. Agree it should be a closer game than last year, but CC still has to be a decided favorite in this one. CC bench still a question mark it sounds like, and Brossart a little deeper; but Campbell's big three are awfully tough. Hoping for a good game, as I know the atmosphere will be as good as it gets in the regular season!!

Who is coming off the bench for the eagles? I keep hearing about the quality depth they have.

Nerl could have a decent game but dont forget that Brossart is always ranked one of the top defensive teams in the state.

I was meaning last year and the start of this season. As for Nerl dominating, I am not sure about that. He seems to be a very unselfish player that lets the game come to him.

Mike will have a plan, probably the same hard nosed defense as always. When it comes down to it, it's about the big plays that the go to players make. Who are the go to guys for Brossart?

Hmmm. Well I do believe that last years CC team at the time of the BB game was made up of 5 players that hadn't ever started varsity before. So this team has grown as well. And I know this is a different team than last year probably much better on both sides of the ball but for as much as they have grown Campbell has as well. They beat Pendleton last week playing C- ball at best and also took down Dixie playing possibly as bad as they could have. If Scott Code can get the boys firing on all cylinders there is now way that BB will stop them, maybe slow them down, but not stop them.

 

But even having said that the more i think about this game and the match ups I see a big night for Albrecht and Nerl and a Campbell win by 15 or less it will be pretty close but IMO CC has way too many offensive weapons for BB to contain even under a Mike Code defense.

 

He's a GREAT coach and has done things for BB that I dont think could be done by anyone else in the head spot dont get me wrong but he can't walk on water like som BB fans would like to believe.

Nerl is a potent weapon! Petey and Ben are formidable inside and Brady has come strides.

Would have been an interesting BB-CCo district finals last year, but Scott stole the show!
