I tell my wife to go thru the Eddie Bauer magazine, and mark what she likes. I then spend X amount of money, don't have to leave the house, and everybody his happy.

That is what I have done the past couple of years.

 

This year I have bought her a couple of small things like a Terrell Owens t-shirt, CD, etc. but her nicer gifts are those she has selected.

Larry, I'd be more concerned if you had good taste in purses.

My wallet is too big as well, and I am always putting new stuff into it. Periodically, I clean out my wallet but there is just too much stuff that I need (or could need).

 

I've considered switching to a money clip because they seem thinner, but I don't really trust the money clip...

This thread is so sad! LOL....Seriously, I have never told PH that I did not like anything that he has picked out for me. I love everything he gets me because it is from him. Maybe I am not normal! LOL (ok, so, we all knew that!)

Last Christmas my girlfriend wanted some UGG's boots (which, I may add, have the most unattractive name I can think of). Of course, she wanted the one color and one style that was impossible to find and most expensive (especially considering I waited till about 1 week before Christmas to look). I resorted to buying it off eBay (partly because I am cheap as well). It didn't come in till 2 weeks after Christmas and it wound up being fake (even though it came with a certificate of authentication from UGG's and, throughout my extensive fake UGG's research, had most of the signs of real of UGG's). Of course, we found out that it was fake about a week after the eBay transaction's return policy was up.

 

The moral of the story? Getting a gift for women and being cheap, late, and unknowledgeable will always result in disaster. Just get the gift card.
