If Walton would of hit more of their free throws they would have won by twenty. Cooper had no chance of winning and may not win a game this season. This will be their building year. Good luck to both teams.

You might as well count them as a winless team then.

 

A little harsh maybe? Poor kids are part of a brand new program and are one game into the season and are already getting buried on BGP. With the coach they have in place and the talent at the Middle School level they will be competive in 2-3 years.

Sounds like a small Class A school line up don't it. Now that I think on it Walton had 2 or 3 8th graders on their Freshmen team last night.

Walton looked good tonight- more athletic than I thought they would be. From the looks of the team tonight and talking to a number of people at the school, they have a lot of young talent coming up that could be really good. Vance Sullivan looked really tought tonight- he is going to be a real talent in the years to come (hes a sophomore right?).

To some extent, it's a building year for both teams. Both teams will be much better next year.

Someone should have used their head when scheduling over there. Football basically had the same problem. Heck it is not the kids fault, some adult should have had some common sense and gave them a shot at winning at least a couple more games. There are plenty of teams in the area that a new school with young talent could have scheduled to be compeditive with.
