Ole Miss should be playing for the SEC title game then.

If Miss only had one loss they would be playing for the SEC title because they beat UF head to head!

It just seems like OU is getting the benefit of the schedule because they got to play Tech and OSU later in the year.

I just dont see how a head to head matchup can be thrown out the window. That seems like a big deal to me.

That's how I feel too. Margin of victory wasn't supposed to be an issue, but it is. Texas is being punished for only winning by 10 against OU on a nuetral field a couple months ago. Texas went on a crazy stretch and were beaten on a last second TD on the road on the 4th of 4 consecutive games against top 12 opponents.

No matter who people feel the better team is I think Texas got the shaft. TT knows they have no argument that's why Leach is jokingly talking about graduation rates. So it is essentially a two team race. If this were the SEC Texas would be going. Of course the SEC is right on this, they know football.:D

Did you all know that the SEC, and the ACC have the same rule in place that the Mack Brown wants? The Big East uses the same as the Big XII.

Margin of victory is not a part of the computer formula...

I know but it comes into play w/ the voters.

And the voters were a dead heat. If Oklahoma doesn't score 60 four times in a row to swing the human vote and UC and TCU don't boost them in the computers along with Kansas hurting Texas then Texas is playing Saturday.

Just a perfect storm for Oklahoma all around...
