It just seems like OU is getting the benefit of the schedule because they got to play Tech and OSU later in the year.

I just dont see how a head to head matchup can be thrown out the window. That seems like a big deal to me. We could find a team with 4 losses that beat a team that beat another team impressively that didn't beat the same team by as much and claim that 4 loss team should be National Champs!

The head to head gets thrown out the window because it's NOT a head to head argument. You say Texas goes. I say Tech Texas beat them so they shoud go--you go around in a circle because it's a....THREE-WAY TIE. Compare the 3 teams scores against each other (and the rest of their games for that matter) and Oklahoma is the winner. It's not perfect but with what we have, it's the best answer.

I think Oklahoma will but Texas should. :p

I forgot to put the normal disclaimer on my College Football posts- I predicted a UCLA win over BYU earlier this year (NOTE: see BYU 59 UCLA 0), so take what I said with a grain of salt

Texas deserves to, but will probably get screwed. Texas beat OU head to head at a neutral site. They lost to TTU on a last second play. I think since Tech is out of the picture, It sorta covers up the Texas loss to TTU. The most important thing is Texas beat them head to head period.

The difference is Tech got killed by OU. Texas lost to Tech in a close game and had already played 3 top teams the previous 3 weeks.

Oklahoma embarrassed that same Tech team that beat Texas....The Sooners should, and I feel will get into the Big 12 title game.

Again, you're kinda making my point for me...

OU will get to the Big 12 Championship. Texas should get the nod.

How am I making your point? I said that the head to head should be put into consideration, you said it should be thrown out.

Ok, I'll play your game. Texas Tech and Texas are both 11-1. Texas Tech beat Texas HEAD TO HEAD, so I think Texas Tech should go. That makes sense, right?

Texas lost by 2 points to a team ( I think). That is completely different than losing to a team by almost 40.

I thought we were talking about HEAD TO HEAD match-ups? Quit bringing common sense into this argument. Texas Tech beat Texas, therefore, Texas Tech deserves to go.

Ole Miss should be playing for the SEC title game then.
