If Missouri beats whoever it is it. A team will make the national title game and not even make their conference title game. College football is like my wifes family reunion. Its a mess but every year I keep coming back.

If you are going with the best team then it will be OU, and I know Texas beat OU. If they played 10 times OU wins 7 of them. IMO

I'll buy that argument a little bit more than just saying that one head to head match-up is all that matters. However, two of those games were close and one game was a blowout (and the most impressive of the the three wins).

Here is the thing.

 

Someone is going to get hosed. I think we can all agree that TTU doesn't belong. Therefore, IMO, it seems easier to tell the kids from Oklahoma that Texas is going because they beat you head to head, then it is to tell the kids from Texas OU is going because they beat a common opponent by 40 points.

Spoken like someone who hasn't been to the game...the game was as close to a 50-50 split as I have seen at a neutral site game ever. The game is in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, that is about the same distance from OU's campus as it is from Texas' campus. That was a neutral site game.

The tickets are split 50/50, so it is pretty even. Just pointing out the irony, and messing with RP.

I live here, that is NOT true! It is a Longhorn dominated state, for sure. Go out to West Texas and you'll find as many UTEP fans as Longhorn Fans. Same thing in the DFW area, only it is TCU that shares the fan base. A&M gets the nod in the Houston area over Texas, by far. If you had to divide the state, Longhorns get the majority of the fans, overall. Saying that all of Texas is Longhorn Country is a tremendous overstatement, however.

If you go to Louisville, there are a lot of UL fans. It's still UK country. I lived in DFW as well, and saw what I feel first hand...
