16th Region AD's wouldn't be too happy losing the gate Elliott County brings. They play a tough enough schedule with the BBC, Anderson County, Mason County and the Class A. They will play their "weak" schedule and still be alright at tournament time.

Let's get back on the path, of discussing the scrimmage, between two very good teams.

But their schedule "isn't on par with the rest of the top 5 teams..." Are you sure they can overcome the lack of a challenge?

ALL teams can only play 5 players at a time, just like everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time.

My question Is , who in the 16th region with the exception of East Carter would want to play Elliott Co this year and get beat to death. If I were coaching one of those teams I would gladly excuse them from my schedule this year and pick them up next year. I'm just saying ,Elliott needs to be playing better teams this year. :ylsuper:

 

One may think that 16th region teams would willingly drop EC off the schedule this year, but more goes into them games for schools than winning and losing. Opposing school know that Elliott County fans are going to pack their gym every night, which means more money for that school. That is a big reason Elliott County is still on most 16th region team's schedule.

Everyone other than Elliott fans are talking like Elliott has already peaked because they dont have Football, but I can promise you from watching both scrimmages they are not in top form yet. They are still pretty good but are not firing on all cylinders yet. Can't wait until Friday.

Really, IMO the term peak is just a word of hope referring to another team that you may hafta face.

They also have district foe East Carter twice, who will prove to be a top 25 team in the state before the year is out.

You may be right but they have the potential to be that good. They have great size and athleticism. We will know more about them after Friday nights game against Tates Creek.
