November 26, 200817 yr I wish everyone on BGP a Happy Thanksgiving. Should anyone be traveling I pray for safe travel to and from your destination. I am looking foward to being with Family for a very good meal and then just,kicking back and enjoying the day. Thanksgiving just may be my favorite holiday. What could be better?...Eat a huge meal then several desserts to choose from then kick back on my lazy badonkadonk and do nothing, maybe and probably will fall asleep watching football or hunting/fishing shows. Wake up, grab another dessert and a turkey sandwich then kick back in the recliner again. Later in the evening, eat another meal and maybe add some of things that you missed on the first couple of rounds. Yes, Thanksgiving is a great holiday, food, family coupled with some good college football on the HD t.v.:thumb: On a sad not about Thanksgiving I also reflect on family and friends that are not with us anymore. One Thanksgivig tradition with my Dad on this holiday was if at all possible Thanksgiving morning meant a rabbit hunt. After dad passed I still went rabbit hunting or sauger fishing alone some to reflect on those times. That along with enjoying time other family members that are no longer with us always makes it sad as well. Happy Thanksgiving Dad :cry:, you are always with me and we will hunt and fish together again one day.

It is going to be a great one for us....the only thing I hate is not being with my mom, dad, and brother on holidays...I really do miss them, especially this time of year.

November 27, 200817 yr My dad passed away two years ago just before Thanksgiving so it makes it tough for our family. Dad always looked forward to the Family being together and sharing old stories. Like Oldrambler and his dad, we also had a rabbit hunt on Thanksgiving morning with dad, my brother and myself. I have a lot to be thankful for as God has blessed my family and I this Thanksgiving. My mother who most of you know has been very Ill, has improved over the last few days and was released from the hospital last night and is now home. Prayer's have been answered and I thank each and everyone of you for your thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and yours this Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving!!

November 27, 200817 yr Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. May you be safe and may your day with your family be the best day EVER!!! MrRk and I are staying home and grilling steak today. As most of you know, my Mom passed away a little over a month ago and I'm just not ready to face the day without her. Cvillecat, what wonderful news for you about your mom. I do hope that she continues to improve and that you have lots more years with her. OR...what a wonderful post....thanks!!!!!
