For ages now, I've heard that you guys think that you're the best; that no one can compete with you. I've heard it from Raceland people, Ashland area people; shoot, even a few LCA people have said it.

 

Well, I am coming there on Friday to see for myself. We will see, once and for all, who has the best concession stand in Kentucky High School Football.

Those funnel cakes alone make the concession stand one of the best in the state...they are delicious.

The grill guy we used to have was the best. He was a legend, but he has since passed, and the current grill guy is the second best. You had better bring your appetite if you are going to judge for yourself.

 

Grilled sausage with grilled peppers and onions. Burgers, be it with cheese or without, with grilled onions. The funnel cakes you have to try, no way around it if you are sample the concessions.

 

I have seen other concession stands, and let me tell you, calling Raceland's a concession stand does not do it justice. We had to put up two canopies to handle the grill area. The concession stand is where you get soft drinks and candy, the canopies are where you get the food.

 

The best, well I don't know, but I think you will come away impressed, not just with the concession stand, but with the atmosphere (if the weather does not turn some away). The crowd will be big, cars will be parked along US 23, the pre-game music, the band, the cheerleaders. We don't just host a game, we host an event.
