That is great news, we will be glad to have you. I saw some GC jackets last Friday, I am glad we all support each other when we can. Bring some friends, we will need all the help we can get.

I have a couple of related stories to pass on...

 

The son of an LCA coach who played D1 college ball came to the game because his dad said the environment would be like none other he would ever see... and indeed it was... on the way home he asked his son what he was most impressed with... and he replied... "that's one of the best polish sausages I've ever had in my life!"

 

The door key to LCA locker room was given to one of the assistant coaches to manage to let the team in the locker room at halftime... on the way down from the coaching booth up top to the locker room... the coach was distracted when he saw that the Raceland concession had funnel cakes... so he jumped right into line while the entire LCA football team stood outside the locker room waiting for the key... Coach Rains sent a posse looking for him and they nabbed him before he could partake... I think he's still out on the practice field bear crawling... :walk:

That was part of our game plan, use food to distract the fans, coaches, and players. That is why sidelinedoc fed our team on Thursday, so they would not be distracted by the food.

 

It almost worked.

I, for one, agree that the Rams food court (I will not call it a concession stand) is 2nd to none. Although, I was wondering how many of the Ram shaped Funnel cakes Mr. Howell kept for himself, lol.

He calls it sampling, he likes to make sure that all the funnel cakes meet a strict quality assurance test. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.:lol:

If I had a hat on, I would take it off. Raceland has an OUTSTANDING venue & concession stand. :thumb:

 

I heard someone call your facilities a "food court" - I can't disagree with that.

 

And your polish sausages "melt in your mouth". Second to none.

My wife's family is from Ashland so I go by Raceland's stadium every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and usually Easter.

 

I think their press box looks great and I love the lit up "Rams". However, I am surprised by how little seating there is. I know Raceland is a small stadium, but as good as their football team usually is, they have to pack the stands.

There's alot of standing in the endzones, and a lot of people watch from their parked cars along side 23. I of course, strategically always stand end the endzone beside the grill when I attend Raceland games.

Thanks for your comments. I hope they put in new bleachers soon (that is why the new press box is free standing and not attached to the bleachers), but to be honest, there a lot of Raceland fans who enjoy standing around the track, even at scrimmages, there may be empty seats in the bleachers, but the same people are still standing in "Their Spot" around the track.
