Who would be your NFL MVP today?

Who would be your NFL MVP today?

I will pick James Harrison, but I might be biased... :sssh:

I am sure I will have left someone out.

Can I get this one deleted, I messed up making the poll.

thanks

Favre. Not just for his numbers which are not his best, but for the winning attitude, enthusiasm and leadership he has brought to the Jets.

Drew Brees. Done everything you could ask of him (including putting my fantasy team in first place). Just needs some help from his defense.

Could same the same thing about Portis and Rivers.

Not sure either of these two are on pace to set any all-time offensive records though.

If it was just on performance yesterday as the title of the thread suggests...I might have to go with Ed Reed.

Since, it's not deleted, I'm going with Kerry Collins.

Not to pick on you, but this "Kerry Collins for MVP talk" in the media is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...

The guy is average 181.6 ypg (58.4 % Cmp), 9 TD, 4 Int, and a QB rating of 81.9 in 11 games. He's not even the most valuable player on his own team...Chris Johnson and Albert Haynesworth are far more deserving of the MVP award if you want to give it to a Titan.

Kurt Warner

Eli Manning

Brett Favre

My reasoning is although Haynesworth, Johnson and even Finnegan have been playing out of their minds, Collins is the glue that has held the team together. For someone considered dead in the water to come in and lead the team like he has to the record they have, is impressive no matter what the QB rating says. Absolutely no way the Titans are 10-1 with Vince Young under center. He may not be the MVP, but I don't think the case being made for him is ridiculous.

The Titans would also not be 10-1 without Chris Johnson. The Titans have no MVP. Their offense doesn't put up the numbers (and a lot of the credit goes to the O-line) and the defense has too many players to name one, IMO.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. There's absolutely no way the Titans are 10-1 if you replace Haynesworth or Johnson with lesser players either. Collins deserves credit for what he's done...but MVP is way over the top. Especially when he's not even the most valuable player on his own team.

There are too many guys leading their teams to good seasons while playing better at QB than Kerry Collins for him to be in the discussion...

It's not hard to single out Albert Haynesworth, IMO. Stats don't begin to show the impact he has on the entire defense. He was their MVP and best player last year and this year.

I totally messed up this thread. It was suppose to about defensive MVP. I didn't put Defensive in the title and screwed up the poll, but this thread is doing better than the correct one that I made.
