I was about to say Bowling Green is not the team you have to worry about anymore. I would just worry about Friday night first and see who you play if you win. The other 2 teams on the other side of the bracket are no slouches.

 

If Owensboro wins Friday night they will not be an easy out they beat BG last week and will try to get revenge on a game they had well in hand and went to the locker room 7 minutes early that night.

 

Christian Co is big across the line and can play with anybody as well. I think there are still a few teams that can play with Highlands left and maybe even pull off the upset if the stars are aligned right that night.

Both PRP and Fern Creek are 6-A...a class that has a whopping two really good teams. After that...it can be anybody that wins on a given night. So don't tell me your losses were to powerhouse schools. JH will have to play well to beat Doss. But if JH plays great...well you do the math. If there's a knock about the JH squad, its there inconsistency. Given the current situation between these two schools, I'd bet JH will be a bit more focused this time around with their deep threat and punter back.

 

So what your telling me is that 6A is only 2 deep, it would not even be a game if Doss or JH played any of the following schools: Manual,Male, Ballard, Eastern and yes Creek and PRP we play to much competition compared to most teams out in the state especially Hardin Co. schools.

The last time JH played PRP, Fern Creek, and Male....they won. They lost to St. X in '05 by 1pt. A two point conversion that was dropped by JH. So I do believe that JH can play with those schools...regardless of what classification they are. Louisville does have all the athletes...its just a shame most of them congregate together and pretend to be catholics.

No you are not realizing that after you beat Doss if you do you play the winner of Owensboro and Christian Co. before you can think about the Pizza Box. Neither of those 2 teams are going to be easy they are both 11-1 going into Friday night. CC lost to Male by about 30 and Owensboro lost to CC by 8 after blowing a 20 point lead with 7 minutes to play. That is all I am saying this is not the semi-finals Friday night.

JH (a Hardin Co. school) scrimmaged Eastern this year and beat them by two or three scores, as well as Bryan Station (who almost knocked out Highlands) which they beat by two scores. Scrimmages don't mean much, but just wanted to point out that JH would not only compete with those teams you mentioned but could beat them if they played well. How soon people forget the 05 season when JH knocked two Louisville schools out of the playoffs that were supposed to dominate them (Male/PRP), and had St.X on the ropes (as stated by easypro in an earlier post). TigerKat take a look at JH's record against Louisville schools before you make uninformed statements.

 

JH vs. Male -1/1

JH vs. PRP -1/0

JH vs. St.X -0/2 21-20 / 28-14 I think that's being very competitive which is more than I can say for most Louisville 6A schools.

JH vs. Seneca - 2/0

JH vs. Fern Creek 1/1

JH vs. Doss 2/1

 

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, but as you can see JH has been very competitive when it comes to playing Louisville schools.

TigerKat All State Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Sunny Side of St. Matthews Posts: 1,785	No K&K im not uninformed, im just talking about the present, your bringing up this 05 and stuff in the past, if you guys play against Louisville 6A competition now, you will go down, yea lets all bring up scrimmages in the summer time if we do that, lets talk about Highlands (who the polls say are right behind St. X and Trinity) a down Male team beat them by 3 touchdowns. JH had maybe 2 years they could play with 6A caliber schools, not anymore

They have tremendous fan support and it will take a good team to beat them. With that said we need to keep things in prespective. They probably could not take the pounding of week to week battles with 6A teams. They would face teams that equal their size and speed nearly every week. I was in attendance @ the Eastern scrimmage. As I recall it was competative with 1s vs 1s. However , Eastern got the best of that situation in the scoring column. JH scored more when the 2s and 3s played. I love this scrimmage because it is competative and both teams get playing experience against a formidable foe. Good luck to JH and Doss. JH in a close one!

Eastern did not get the best of that situation in the scoring column. JH beat Eastern in the varsity and JV scrimmage, you need to go back and take a look at the film. They beat a 6A Eastern team that is 11-1 right now that plays 6A teams week to week. So I'm not sure what your basing your "could not take the pounding of week to week battles with 6A teams" opinion on? 6A in Louisville and throughout the state is very average except for X and T. JH would be one of the top 5-8 teams if they were still in 6A (old 4A).   By the way, I love the JH Eastern scrimmage as well. Eastern has a good program with a very solid coaching staff. I agree it gives both teams a good tune up for the regular season. In my opinion Their HC should get Coach of the year honors for he and his staff's efforts this year. I wish them luck against Trinity this week and hope they pull off the upset!   As for you TigerKat, you still don't know what you are talking about. How can you make statements about who JH can and can not compete with, a team that has gone 41 and 8 in the past four seasons, without having seen them play? I said that scrimmages don't mean much, I was just giving you an idea of how JH competed against a Louisville 6A team. The reference to the 05 season was to show you that JH has a history of being very competitive with Louisville 6A schools.
