Nice looking pup.:thumb: Looks somewhat familiar to one I've seen a lot of recently.

Is that a Brittany?

It is. Henry and I have one of Champ's sisters and Family Tradition has another one of his sisters.

Nice, I've always loved the breed, they were on my short list when I got my pup last summer.

Uhhhhh Yes!!!!!

It was quite interesting the other day when picking him out. It was a complete downpour and we had to carry all 3 pups up that hill so the real BOSS could decide. He has been a lot of fun so far. We haven't had too much to complain about yet.

Thanks to Henry having Remi as her avatar. Who would of thought a week ago, I would be willing to let a puppy try to dismantle my house. I spent the last 2 years putting it together.....LOL!!!!!

His full registered name is "Bird Champion" It's only fitting.:thumb:

Here's a forward I got today, thought it was fitting

A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is

likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment.

You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only

you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand

your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt

you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if

something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food,

I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or

weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old.. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you

can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier

for me if you are there, because I love you so..

~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good

care of them.

Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's

critters.

Here is a picture of my pugs Seamus and Finlay. Finlay is now 8 months old, Seamus was close to 16 years old when this picture was taken.

Seamus was adopted from the Lexington Humane Society. He was 13 when I got him. We were told (and saw to some extent) that at the humane society, people would show interest in him until they saw his age, at which point, that would turn them off and keep them from adopting him. I knew that I could give Seamus a good home for his remaining few years.

He was starting to develop cataracts, was deaf in both ears and I had to train him with hand motions. Later in his life, his arthritis got to him and kept him from running, jumping, and playing, but he loved life and especially loved "people food." After we brought Finlay into the home, he became somewhat jealous, but always protective of the new baby pug.

Seamus was put to sleep today. He had started throwing up bile and had become lethargic. He would not eat, drink, or use the bathroom. He was so bad off that he could not stand or hold his head up. When we took him to the vet, the whites of his eyes were starting to turn yellow from jaundice. She determined that Seamus had liver disease and would not likely make it because of his age. Anything further would just prolong him being in pain. After getting "the shot" it only took about 15 seconds for him to close his eyes and stop breathing. He was ready to go.

Thats a sad story, nothing harder than putting your pet down, but it's the right thing to do sometimes, sorry for your loss
