November 23, 200817 yr Can't wait until a home basketball game when someone actually bounces a ball on the bird...complete chaos.... Also, "the bird" is now a target because of UofL's reaction and horrible football team...
November 23, 200817 yr I'm fine with it. If a team purposely disrespects you at your home field I'm glad the players care enough to react to it.
November 23, 200817 yr They'll be back....I quit worrying about your posts a long, LONG time ago. Yeah at sometime point I am sure they will be back just like every program is at one point or another.
November 23, 200817 yr I'm fine with it. If a team purposely disrespects you at your home field I'm glad the players care enough to react to it. Why is it direspectful? What if a team gathered in the endzone, would that be disrespectful? I mean, to me it would be saying that we will score at will and your defense can't stop us. It is sophmoric and childish to worry about, but they are not the only team that takes it personal in Louisville.

Because it's meant to be disrespectful when a team gathers in the middle of the field jumping up and down on the logo. They obviously do it on purpose so why not get fired up about it? I'm not saying their needs to be a brawl but I do think it's good that the players care enough about their team to let that bother them.

November 24, 200817 yr No jumping up and down. No one touching the logo... That particular incident was stupid. I never defended them for that so I still don't know where you're trying to go with this.

November 24, 200817 yr ^ That's the way anybody who is not a fan of this program feels. I am cool with that. It still incenses me, and as a U of L fan, I have the right for that as well
November 24, 200817 yr I think he's saying that the "protection" for this painted bird has gone way too far. I agree that it did in that particular incident but other than that I don't think it has at all.
November 24, 200817 yr Is this the biggest joke in college football or what? Yes in the sense that it is a joke. No in the sense that in the grand scheme of college football, this would be story #100 of the 50 biggest stories of the day. An irrelevant moment at a non-traditional football school that very few people care about.
November 24, 200817 yr I guess I don't get the, "We're not going to let anyone push us around on our field" mentality because when the game starts, they are in fact pushing them around on their field....
