Exactly, let's just leave it there.

Your point? I have heard from several people about how it went, and I have not heard anyone even from Beechwood say that it was not like that. So that was classless simple as that. Now don't get me wrong Beechwood was the better team and deserved to win, I mean no doubt about that, and I not taking that away from them. I know I wish the players the best of luck the rest of the way, because they do have a great team there! :thumb:

Yes but there is one major difference. Coach Yeagle was content to run dives up the middle after getting up big but Coach Rash was doing everything in his power to keep scoring and rolling it up.
Next time you take a game in, you should watch it. Everything in his power? Had his first team out in the second quarter. Had his freshman in, in the third period. In a earlier post I praised the Panthers for there showing, that wasn't meant for fans saying things such as this!! You will need to get a longer stick to stir with because this pot is empty.

Regarding the Beechwood – Ludlow game, it is obvious to any fan with even the slightest knowledge of football that despite the valiant efforts of the Ludlow athletes they where on the field with a team that has paid the price to be in the position they are in. Success is like anything worthwhile. It has a price. You have to pay the price to win and you have to pay the price to get to the point where success is possible. Most important, you must pay the price to stay there .The hard work of the Beechwood athletes, especially the offensive and defensive lines, was evident. Football is a great deal like life in that it teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority is the price that each and every player must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile. The spirit, the will to win and the will to excel-these are the things that endure and these are the qualities that are so much more important than any of the events that happened on the field Friday night.

If you are questioning the inward motivation of a man, I will tell you the key.

It is much like looking at a fruit tree, does it bare fruit and what kind of fruit does it bare.

Coach Rash needs no one to defend him.

People who know him, respect him. We in the Beechwood family are thankful that Coach Rash cares passionately about the success of our children!

I wouldn't be suprised if Beechwood doesn't do this to the rest of their opponents.

Congrats Ludlow on a better season that last and building a respected program in 1A with a new coach.

Congrats to Beechwood and bring home another trophy to the toughest 1A district in the state. As for the other rhetoric being discussed in this thread, all I will say is Beechwood did the same thing when they beat us 61-6 in the regular season. Was it to get to the 45 point rule? Only Coach Rash knows that, but as a Ludlow alum and supporter, I really don't care. We, as a program, need to look at ourselves and become better. I'm a firm believer in Coach Hornsby. He believes in this program and the kids down here. Now the kids and the community need to jump onboard and good things will happen.

I don't recall a similar situation occurring in the first game. However, I like your post and agree with your attitude. I liked that your coach was upset at the first half timeouts by Beechwood, even though I disagree that it was "unsportsmanlike" by Beechwood. The fire and determination shown by Coach Hornsby are good things that will help Ludlow build their program.

Incorrect. The running clock starts with a 45 point differential in the second half.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but any criticism of Coach Rash for being "classless" is severely misplaced. And I am quite confident that Coach Hornsby agrees.

Congratulations to Ludlow for a very successful season.

I agree with Offside. I am a former Panther player, and I know Coach Rash. He is anything but "classless!" Good luck to the Tigers and congrats to Ludlow for a good season. :thumb:

Congratulations to the Beechwood players.

I have always had respect for Beechwood Coaches until last night. Coach Rash showed a classless act that has erased all of my respect for him. Up 41-0 with 43 secs left Coach Rash burns all time outs left to score one more time before half and run up the score. CLASSLESS! The game was won. It reminds me of a Pee Wee Coach who has never heard the unspoken rules of the game. And for all the fans that are going to say well it’s about winning and playoffs, you are just being a cry baby. If you don't understand the point I am making, you are about on the same level as Rash and I don't really have respect for you either. Rash is under the delusion that he is above everyone else. Remember Beechwood wins games and State titles without head coaches showing up. Coach Rash is a classless act, and for the first time in my life, I hope a Northern Kentucky team will not win state in 1A.

Once again this is not directed at the players of Beechwood they played great. Just especially disappointed with the lack of class Coach Rash showed.

With all due respect, coaches have to be selfish. Their goal is to win football games and to get their teams ready for situations that they will see in the next game. What coach in his right mind would keep his starters on the field when 1) he is up 45 points and 2) he would be risking injuries. Their JV played almost the entire 2nd half and Freshmen got in with less than two minutes to go in the game. You want to talk about fair? It's not fair to tell JV or freshmen players not play hard. You say that Coach Rash is classless? Really? Is that why he TOLD the referee to throw a flag if we scored? Which is exactly what happened when Freshmen Cameron Vocke scored - it was called back. Classless? IMO, classless is when you lead your team off of the field during the trophy presentation for the district championship. Pee Wee coaches even have their players clap for the other team. Your coach did not.

We have student-athletes, playing a game and all we want to discuss, is the Coaches and our perception of their actions.

Start a thread and actually discuss the game. Give the Players the recognition, in another thread.
