November 18, 200817 yr He says it's a strong possibility when he becomes a FA in 2011. He also says that a lot of the drama between him and Kobe was created and influenced by Phil Jackson.
November 18, 200817 yr Shaq wouldn't be a good fit for the Lakers with the personnel that they have now and will have then. He is also getting old.
November 18, 200817 yr 0% chance they bring Shaq back and he's dilusional to think they would even consider it
November 18, 200817 yr 0% chance they bring Shaq back and he's dilusional to think they would even consider it Agree with you 100%:thumb:.
November 18, 200817 yr Shaq is incredibly shrewd and more about promoting himself at this stage of his career. They do not need him now, and they definitely will not need him a couple seasons from now.
November 18, 200817 yr Shaq is starting to come off as a guy whose career is fading to the point where his game can't keep him in the spotlight, so now he has to generate some press other ways. Its funny that everyone blamed Kobe when the Lakers first split, but as time passes, the evidence would seem to suggest the opposite, IMO. 1. First, the word was that Kobe was trying to be "the man", but it was Shaq's team and he didn't like that. Yet, the first thing he does when he goes to Miami is defer to Wade and say he's just there to help. 2. Some of the complaint was Kobe trying to get Shaq to commit himself to basketball more and get in shape. Again, everyone sided with Shaq, yet just a couple years later, talk about how he wouldn't get in shape and his body was breaking down as a result was all over the place. 3. Shaq loved Phil before...now he's saying a lot of the problems between he and Kobe were created by Phil. Give me a break. I guess when your mouth is the only thing that works like it used to, you tend to want to use it.
November 18, 200817 yr His scrabble commercial is pretty funny though. Maybe it's just that my grandmother loved scrabble....

I wonder if the haters will go away now.

November 18, 200817 yr Because he makes jokes and is joyful, 99% give Shaq a pass on the whole L.A. debacle. It becomes more obvious with time that Shaq was, at the least, equally responsible for the drama and eventual split in LA-LA land. And, I never understood how Kobe could be faulted for wanting Shaq to get in shape and up his dedication to the team. Kobe's desire to win is second to none...I'm sure that can manifest itself in ways that might grate on people. But, I'd rather have a guy like that, as opposed to the opposite. Shaq can be a funny guy at times, and I've enjoyed some of his sound bytes. But, I've never really liked him. It was more difficult for me to be a Lakers fan when he was there. Despite the lack of titles since his departure, I like the team much better now.
November 18, 200817 yr I love Shaq, and loved him with the Lakers, but NO WAY he will be signed. Mitch Kupcheck (sp?) is not that big of an idiot. People say he is a bad executive, but he made the right call between Shaq and Kobe, and he made the great decision to keep Bynum and not trade him for Kidd.
