Let's not get carried away here. Graves has played Henderson County and Daviess County, two teams that have been ranked at various times in 6A.

I think it will be a nice change to see a team from another part of the State. Agree that a #1 vs. #4 - should not on paper be much of a match.

 

I am sure the Rocks will be gracious as always. It will also be interesting to see how many fans they bring with them --compared to what we normally see from the Jeff. Co. schools.

Where were you all in the 1994 district race? Having lost to Central and Eastern and having beaten Ballard, Waggener and J-town, did the Rocks tie for second or third? Could Coach Lampley's squad have been shut out of the playoffs if only the top two went? I know those tie-breakers can get mighty testy.

 

I like it just the way it is. The fact Trinity resides in a four team district may be reflected in a much improved non-district schedule in upcoming seasons.

Upon further review, Trinity would not have made the playoffs in 1994 if only 2 were allowed in. We played the first round playoff game at Doss and I still remember the cloud of smoke hanging over the field from their grill.....their kicker was suspended and that helped the Rocks stage a comeback.......they could have put the game out of reach with an extra point and instead the Rocks rallied with a touchdown and 2 point conversion to send the game into overtime before prevailing 24-21..........

 

Don't forget about the ALL you can eat Chili Supper at Trinity prior to tonight's contest. This is the wrestling team's makeup event. $5.00 per person!

Now now, Cat. I doubt very highly the freshman team would beat this Graves varsity team, but we all know you think highly of the 9th graders. Trinity varsity by 55.

I doubt Graves brings many fans with em, they didn't bring many to the Christian county game and it was half the distance. Most of the Graves fans just want to see Graves beat Mayfield in football and that's the season for em.
