Does anybody have a box score on the Johnson Central vs Woodford County game from 9/26? Also has Woodford County's Bobby Neal been playing or is he hurt?

I agree with the shotgun but no matter who is QB but if Isler can not move

very well that limits the offense

From the kids I talk to after practice,his movement has to improve alot before he will play

 

A limited moving Isler is better than Young OR Erpenbeck starting and playing at this point. No disrespect to either of those young men, but in all honesty in order for the Colonels to get anywhere in the playoffs they are going to need Isler, VanSant, and Deters to play well and together. As long as Isler can move enough to throw and hand off, I see no problem with him getting the start.

Last week he turn 5 or 10 yards losts into 1or 2 yards gains Isler or Young

could not do that. If Erpenbeck gets into the secondary look out he is one of the fastest kids on the team and he has a very good arm

If Isler is 100% he will be the starter

But it is nice to be talking about the game and not that other stuff

True but Erpenbeck isn't even on the same level as Isler in any aspects of the game IMO. He is prone to fumbling and throwing int's. I'll take an 80% Isler who has a stronger and more accurate arm anyday especially in a playoff game.

I have watch him for 3 years and it was unlike him to fumble and throw ints.

Is his arm as strong as Isler no but it is close and he is more accurate

and because he can roll out and move in the pocket he sees the field alot

better. Also if Isler gets any pressure and he has done this for 2 years

he goes back to his natural position :pitcher,and throws low and hard Except for the second half of the NewCath game has not played will all

Cov Cath will win this one at home, but not sure what next week holds for them if they have to make a road trip.

I have no doubt that Erpenbeck will be a great QB to lead the Colonels next year as he improves and gets used to being in a varsity setting. But I don't think anyone can dispute that the teams best chances THIS year are with Isler, their senior captain. You can not compare Erpenbecks success at JV to what Isler has done the past two years, and his freshman year as JV QB. And keep in mind, before Isler went down this team had a winning record. If I am not mistaken, they have lost all games EXCEPT Holmes since. My last point is, Young and Erpenbeck have had more interceptions total in the past 5 games, than Isler had at all. Accurate??

Yikes, they would play AT JC? I thought they were at home until their run in with Highlands.
