Hammer, meet nail. Like I said before, we need to be the UNITED States of America, instead of this divided nation that is destined for failure.

That’s the way it has always been and will always be. For instance, how in the world can I get on board with someone that wants to put me out of work, attack the industry I work in? Why would I get on board with someone that keeps class envy alive by touting the “bright” idea of wealth redistribution? I can go on and on, but I think you get my point.

There is room for compromise on both sides and I am willing to compromise on some issues :sssh: :eek:

 

For instance COULD support a universial health care plan as long as it is not a nationally controlled and run health plan. I deal with Medicare every day nd I see what a beurocratic nightmare that is and I want nothing to do with a plan like that for everyone.

 

Obama's record indicates that he is extreme left. If he want bipartison support it is UP TO HIM to prove he is willing to compromise.

 

If he doesn't then I see a whole lot of gridlock in our future.

We can't. Everyone's idea of compromise is "you change your position to match mine". Shoot, Nancy Pelosi said something along the lines that if the democrats reached the 60 vote super majority, then congress would be a much more bipartisan place. Figure that one out.

I agree with this portion entirely and I hope (and believe) that it will happen.

He won, he ran on “Change” which many of you parroted on here for months. So tell me, and be honest with yourself as well as the rest of us. What exactly is he going to change? What real changes do you really, honestly believe he will accomplish?

I can't speak for RTS but I know if he changes his policies to align with my beliefs I would support him on an issue by issue basis.

His appointment of Emanual doesn't provide me with any real belief that he will do this either.
