There have been rumblings of Dean for that post. IMO, that would be a PR nightmare to kick things off for Obama.

Unfortunately that is a very real possibility. I would hope that Republicans would filibuster Hillary's nomination would sail through the Senate with little opposition. I would like to see somebody more honest like Lanny Davis in the position.

I have heard John Kerry for Sec of State, Bill Richardson for National Security Advisor, Caroline Kennedy Ambassador to the UN. RFK JR, something to do with the environment. Jesse Jackson Jr name has been mentioned. Colin Powell has been mentioned for Sec of Education. I'm sure John Edwards is kicking himself now I think he would have been the AG.

If RFK, Jr. is named put over the EPA, then I think an economic depression will become much more likely. The guy is ill tempered and whoever coined the term "environmental whacko," they must have had Kennedy in mind. The nation does not need somebody like RFK, Jr. harassing entire industries during a recession, they will have enough problems keeping their doors open for business.

 

I also hope that you are wrong about Kerry. If we must have an extreme liberal as Sec. of State, then I hope that Obama will at least name somebody who is energetic and productive to that position. It is too important to turn over to a part timer like Kerry. I would much, much rather see Hillary in that position. Kerry is a slug.
