They need to negotiate with Notre Dame to become a member and make it a 12 team conference. The Irish would be a good fit, and they already play several Big 10 schools on a regular basis. Of course ND does have that NBC contract, so they might not want to share the revenue.

November 1, 200817 yr The Big 10 would like a 12th team, they wanted it to go along with the Big 10 network, to set up a championship game for $$$. They want ND but ND won't do it. After that I believe they are going to try to find a team from a new state. I have heard of one Big 12 team and several Big East teams mentioned.

November 1, 200817 yr What the Big 10 does not need is another weak link(Notre Dame)is just that. I would much more like to see W.va or Nebraska. Dreaming yep but I am allowed.
