They were a one seed...beating Rowan then Boyd before succumbing to Harrison Co 30 - 31 in the playoffs.

Breathitt County and Letcher County Central is definitely ouch. Add in a first round trip to Bell County. :scared:

Unfortunately no. And the thing is that LC isnt this bad of a team. You just have to wonder if the kids in LC have gotten so far down that nothing the coaching staff is saying is clicking with them. LC best chance would be on senior night when they play Letcher Central, but its going to take a big effort from all involved to pull it out. I for one hope they can.

That is my opinion also they have probably just gotten down on themselves. It would be nice for them to pull off one of these big wins the next two weeks. Good Luck LC.

Congrats to Greenup County on the win. Nice game by the Lyle kid. He shows a lot of potential and as a Soph. will be even better as he gains more experience.

Hate to see this for the Bulldogs.

 

Expectations of the fans must go wayyy down before a new winning program can be rebuilt in Louisa. Whoever is HC must be given time to rebuild from the ground up without the infighting and grumbling of those that insist on a winner.

I mean, outside of Boyd County's winning record, does anyone else come close to respectibility worthy of meriting a playoff appearance. If I had anything less than a 5-5 record I would forfeit my playoff appearance because it would be embarassing.

Before going to the six class system, wasn't this district the home of both Ashland and Johnson Central? Losing those two plus the decline of a once powerfull Lawrence County team hasn't left them with much.

I agree, but Greenup Co. has been in steady decline since Coach Maynard left. I'm sure all of those experts who ran him off wish they had him back now. I know Raceland is glad to have him.

It was the same last year and like Pepper II said Ashland and JC used to be in there has a lot to do with it.
