The player that was hurt is Nic Cooper, heard it could be a bone bruise to go along with the knee trouble the kid is already playing with. He has played well all year, hope he gets back out there soon. Also, it was only senior night for the band, actual athlete senior night is this week. As for the crowd, well when it rains in Lexington that's what you get, the fans here are not as die hard as they are elsewhere.

Thanks Painter. Not making excuses, but it would have been nice to see if DeMartino could have made any difference for the Cats.

What happen to DeMartino?

He was injured during the Woodford game

Just got back from the game and it looked like to me and several others that Ashland just didnt come ready to play at all. Probably needed to open up the play book more because our plays were to easy to predict.

How many pages of the playbook do you think it would take before a very promising FRESHMAN QB would melt down from sensory overload?

Its not pages its plays. We probably ran 5 plays tops the whole game.

I hate to second guess an experienced and proven coaching staff. it would seem that they probably came in with a game plan based on BS's defensive alignments and tendancies. The problems were created once the Tomcats were forced into a comeback situation on a nasty night and into a howling wind in the fourth quarter.

Tough loss for the Tomcats. Congratulations to the Bryan Station Defenders!

It sure was a cold, wet night - and a long drive home in the rain after a loss.

There was a very low turn out for the home team. It was senior night and a group of band parents left after the pre-game ceremony. We counted/estimated 45 BS fans in the stands. The BS band didn’t stay and the cheerleaders didn’t return after half-time. I don’t understand it. They have a beautiful field and a good team with lots of big, strong, fast players.

Well I know 8 of the 45 were Woodford County Players and Coaches.

And 1 JC fan.

Yes. I'm not really sure how the tiebreaker plays out. Birdsfan was going to post the scenarios.

The definite is Bryan Station will be the 4 seed....

This is also a definite:

JC WINS:

1. JC

2. Ashland

3. Woodford

4. Bryan Station

Now for the fun stuff....

Acutally, nothing is definite in this district. And nothing is decided in any of the positions. Below is a link to my discussion of all the playoff implications.
