Congratulations to Simon Kenton on a big win! This one must have been a surprise as most were picking Campbell County.

 

 

 

I think most thought Campbell was a slight favorite but outside of Boone, NKY 6A has been tough to predict. Campbell beat Conner by 23 points, Conner is the #2 seed and Campbell is not in the playoffs. If Ryle would have won against Boone, they would have been the #1 seed, if Campbell would have beaten SK tonight, Ryle could have potentially finished 4th.

I knew SK would strap up and play like the team that they can be. In no way does this outcome suprise me.

BTW, Simpson 24-191, TD and two picks, and a 17th birthday to boot. Scout has him as a one * recruit, what does that say about ratings?

You can find out a lot about a team when they have their backs against the wall. SK came into the game knowing they had to win to make the playoffs, and they succeeded. Boone beat them up badly, but they came back swinging, I think they will go into the playoffs with a three game winning streak, and they should have a good shot of pulling a seeding upset in round one of the playoffs. With a player like Simpson, and a solid defense they can overcome their lack of a passing game.

It would be an upset but I'd much rather be facing Lafayette than Henry Clay. When you are the four seed, you have your work cut out for you, but SK seems to be heading into the right direction since being waxed by Boone. If their defense played like they did last night they have a chance to advance, and with a player like Simpson they can score on any down or distance. I can't get the day off for the playoff game, but I feel a slight stomach ache coming on, and on the 14th I will be really sick at about 4pm.

How close is Miles to setting any regular season School records.

Charlie Siffel holds both the single season rushing (1555) and Tds (28) and total points 176. I think Miles is sitting at 1446 going into the HC game. The stats on KHSAA are not correct, I believe they counted the Campbell game stats x's 3, I think he's at 154 points.
