They definitely have to shoulder some of the blame, but to put it all on them is only what those in the far left would attempt. In their defense 9/11 hurt a heck of a lot when it comes to jobs and the economy.

The Republicans were in charge of the Executive and the Legislature for six of the past eight years and have controlled the White House the whole time. I'd say they and their failed policies deserve most of the blame. Our manufacturing base has eroded tremendously, we have no coherent energy policy, our infrastructure has been neglected, illegal immigration has continued virtually unchecked, the national debt has been nearly doubled, and jobs have been outsourced at an alarming rate. Other than those few things, the Republicans have done a peachy job.
