For all my McCain/Palin supporting buddies in here...

Could you be a little more specific? Which President? Clinton?

He is the one that felt everyone needed to own a home and made it easier for those that couldn't afford it to get one.....

Yes, and if Wall Street regulation and enforcement weren't so lax under the Bush administration and the Republicans' control of Congress, that toxic debt would not have permeated the entire financial system to create a situation where banks and insurance companies are teetering on the brink of insolvency.

Is that why middle class wages have been stagnant since 2001? Is that why we have seen the poorest record of job creation in the last 40 years under the Bush administration?

On target as usual, H, but sometimes I wonder why you even bother...

With all due respect to both of you......in this thread, I tried following up on a comment by H, but it was ignored by both of you (twice). So if you are going to criticize people for only reading what they want to hear, then you shouldn't look to far. :thumb:

The good news is W will not be able to send anymore young people to die for all those weapons of mass destruction that Iraq had, so whoever is elected is still at least 4200 bodies behind and for me thats a great thing.

One thing about fighting for our Freedom, if WE must fight I would rather do it on someone elses soil than ours. And yes I do regret the loss of lives, but those men and women are giving us the right to say what we are saying here now.

As much as the liberals would love you to believe what you posted, the current economic situation is not the fault of our current president.
No it is the fault of gradually letting the economically powerful have all the controlling power along with no responsibility in the country. Which at first was a good thing, but the country has literally gotten to much of a good thing.
The economy started going in the tank when the Dems got control of Congress. Only the blind, naive, or just plain stupid can't see it. Those of you that refuse to admit this can pick your own category.

Amen and Amen. By the way, anyone who serves our country in this manner is a hero. Freedom, unfortunately, isn't free.

What does that thread have to do with the Republicans' abysmal record of job creation and middle class wage growth?

Absolutely nothing. The GOP has not stayed true to fiscal conservatism the past few years and I won't try to defend them. I won't say that the Democrats' policies will be any better either though.

I probably should not have quoted your post, except for the fact that it created context for what mcpapa was saying. He asks why you even bother, but, in the thread that linked, it shows you giving a good post, me trying to give a response, and both of your ignoring it.

If mcpapa wants to know why people only see and read what they want to hear, then I am saying that a lot of people do it.
