October 23, 200817 yr ^ And that is the real shame It is a shame that we recognize that he is a stubborn man who will never relinquish any sort of control over this team even for its benefit and his own profit while he is alive? We don't WANT any harm to befall the man. The fact of the matter is that as long as he is alive, and running the team as he does, the Bengals will be terrible. I want a winner, but I am not in any hurry to see the man keel over. We just see that he will not change his ways while he is still around and in charge of this franchise.

October 23, 200817 yr Who's to say it's a bad investment? I'd guess that the majority of those who own a PSL bought it when the Bengals moved in to the new stadium circa 2000, or a few years before. That may or may not be the case, but there is money to be made in the PSL "business". Thanks to a few decent seasons, as well as inflation and other factors, the price of the PSL has risen. There's no doubt that you can make money off of PSL's as well as season tickets. I would think anyone who looked objectively at the dismal record the Bengals have produced since Mike Brown took over the top spot in the front office would think those who spent their money on the Bengals made a bad investment. Heck, I bet if you were to conduct a poll among all Bengals season ticketholders, most would say something to the tune of "might as well have flushed it down the toilet." Unless you are suggesting Bengals fans love their pain, and love paying Mike Brown for the privilege of receiving said pain. I have often wondered if Bengals fans, as a whole, might be a masochistic lot.

October 23, 200817 yr Mike is a very stubborn man. Being this way is what has led to the situation they now find themselves. Unfortunately, he runs his team like it's the 1960's or 70's. I don't see him stepping down as long as he's the owner. He continues to hang his hat on the fact they participated in two Super Bowls in the 80's.

My hope is that she'll admit that she can't do it herself and hire somebody from the outside to run the football side of things. Is that too much to ask for? She will and then Troy will step in and run the team with her. I just hope they realize 20 yrs of losing under Mike Brown's leadership is enough proof in the pudding to hire a GM.

They are actually a decent way to make some money, so I would call it a "good investment" even if the team is horrible. Even losers make money in the NFL.
October 25, 200817 yr The city of Cincinnati is so desperate for a winner. We saw the chaos that went on from one good season. People love sports, people love football, it's verrrrrry unrealistic to expect everyone to stop buying tickets. This city was out of control in 88. I had season tickets and the 10-0 homestand that season was easily the coolest season the I can remember. The city was just smokin hot those 10 Sundays. Man that was fun:thumb:
