October 22, 200817 yr I actually lived at PFT about 25 years ago! I'm praying for a positive outcome. Hey Sportsfan . . . you must have been there about the same time I was!!! I had just gotten on the phone with my dad (who lives in BG and used to teach at WKU) when all this came out. He was supposed to call me back but I haven't heard from him so . . . it's good to have somewhere to turn to get some info . . . THANKS BGP!!!
October 22, 200817 yr Saw on the news, there was a phone call about an altercation. Then a 2nd, regarding shots fired. I'll presume, they can track the phone of the shots fired call and if did occur, will be some ramifications for the caller. Glad this was not accurate, as WKU is a excellent college.
October 22, 200817 yr Just got off the phone with the parental units. The altercation began over a football game, then moved to the community campus before progressing over to the main campus. No shots were fired (thank goodness). I told mom that from the university's perspective . . . it was better to be safe than sorry by locking down at least that portion of campus and evacuating everyone even if they thought that there was just a POSSIBILITY of the incident escalating. There have been too many tragedies when prompt action could have at least decreased the number of lives lost.
