October 22, 200817 yr Honestly food stamps ha that would be amazing at this point. I'm not eating roman noodles but I don't think I could count how many eggs I've met in the past couple weeks on my fingers or toes. My cell phone bill keeps getting(for lack of better words) "jacked up", I'm sick of dealing with it. I have a loan I'm paying on, plus hundred or so a month for insurance, plus gas, yada yada. It's one of those thing where it'll be ok eventually, it's just hard right now. AS it was hard for most of us during those years. That is what makes you appreciate it so much and value the education you are obtaining. Food stamps for college kids??? are you kidding me? There is only one stamp college kids want and that is a book of stamps that gets them FREE BEER !!!!:dancingpa

October 22, 200817 yr The stimulus checks are okay for us that are struggling to pay the bills, buy gas, and keep their kids in school... It's not a lot. But I am not going to complain. I had read where someone took the amount of money that was used for the bailout and broke it down to what each American that works/pays taxes/owns a home could get from the bailout to allow them to pay off their homes, etc... It came out to be like $257,000 for each of those Americans. Now with that said, wouldn't that stimulate some things? And that amount is what you would get after it was taxed.
