Well all I can say is the best part of my night will be chowing down tailgateing with the BC nation.

 

I can't say I have liked many of your posts including this one but I do love tailgate food so if you want stop by the sidlines with a plate:D. Good luck Bell.......I mean with the rest of the season. As far as this game I think my Raiders will comeout and play as hard as they can for 4 quarters and that is all a coaching staff can ask of their players.

Ain't that what the other 7 teams Bell has played attempted to do??? Only problem none have been sucessful. And yes Bell is very capable of throwing the Ball and beating most teams in the state. They have excellent recivers, a good QB, and a very good offensive line.

 

You have not seen Bell this year or you would not say they can't pass and beat you. I would say it safe to say they could score enough points just on Defense to make this one VERY UGLY!

I think a 47-18 beating at the hands of 1A Pineville (who had only won 2 games all season against Jenkins and Jackson Co) already demonstrated that. McCreary's program overall is improved from year's past but this team IS Aaron Watts.

 

I think I already said that in an earlier post but thanks for reiterating. As for your last statement about Watts being the team..........it is obvious you are not a coach or have ever been one. Because every coach will tell you that no one player has ever been the entire team of any team sport. He is a great athlete and is definately missed but like any other team that loses a great athlete the other players must step-up and play harder to make up for his absence and the Raiders are definately capable of doing that!

Bell has one of the weakest schedules in 4A play. They will not win a championshipship because they can't handle playing under pressure. In order to win a championship, they have to play a few games that are harder than practices. For this reason, they will fail again. whats more important, a few loses and a championship title or more wins during the season and no title. Only coach Hilton is interested in the most wins. The players want a title.

I really can not see MC winning this game. However I am glad someone elsr agrees that one player does not make the team. It is an effort of every player playing together as a team that wins the games even though some may shine more than others. I do somewhat agree with your point, although Bell has no choice in district games such as MCC and Madison Southern.

 

Last year they were 1 game away from winning a State Championship and FUMBLED it away. If not for the fumbles in the 2nd half by the RB's they had a wonderful chance to win.

Good luck McCreary, House of Pain and Bronco. We hope the best for your team and hope all get out and back home from Log Mtn. healthy and safely. I will be a bit more tactful and just say that I feel Bell will win. I hope your kids stay healthy for the playoffs after the season is over.

Please that game was lost from the opening kick-off. Bell could not handle a team of that caliber. The were not mentally or physically prepared. It did not matter what happened past the first half, the game was already won.

13 point game on three postions in the 3rd quarter. Bell fumbles on all three in LC territory. I think they had more than a chance. The Fr. RB clearly showed he was not physically or mentally ready by laying the ball on the ground twice.

We must have been at different games. Special teams failed, the kicker failed, the offensive line failed, the defensive line failed, the team failed. They lost from the first play and never came close to winning or leading or even making the game interesting.

I respectably diagree with you! Yes we had a bad game because the players were unsure of themselves. The reason for that is people like you that say we are nothing without Watts and after a while 15,16,17 and 18 year olds start believing that garbage. Aaron is an outstanding player and is a huge part of are team when he is healthy but he in no way makes up our team. The proof is in our players not in one game. The mistake is a bunch of

grown-ups (including MC coaches) putting that much emphasis on one player. I have been guilty of it myself at time. But, the truth of the matter is that MC's team is made up of 44 other players and they are good players and the proof is in the performances they have given throughout the year and the hard work and dedication they have at practice. So, I respectfully disagree with your outside looking in opinion!

1st off I didn't say they couldn't pass. Remember, I first stated my statement with "Bell Co mis an outstanding program and my choice to win the championship". Now, all I said mwas we want to force them to beat us throwing the ball and I said that because we all know that Bell is predominantly a power run team by choice of Dudley Hilton and if we can make them beat us throwing the ball then we will be happy. As far as your defensive statment, It will be hard to score on defense when MC probably won't throw the ball the entire game! I hope everyone has a fun night of football and there are no injuries!
