Congrats to the Tomcats on a convincing victory.

 

Being a grad from Greenup, I want to compliment QB Mason Rister's passing in the mop up role. I heard several people say he looked very good. At the beginning of the season most people thought he might be the second best QB in the area behind Craft.

This was a game Ashland needed to survive and move on…they did that. Congrats to the Tomcats and coaching staff. This game was never in doubt. Other than a victory, I was only hoping to get out of this one injury free.

 

The combination of poor lighting AND poor eyesight kept me from seeing what all the unsportsmanlike like calls were about...I never like to see Ashland committing that type of penalty. Can anyone relay what happened those 3 or 4 times?

I guess its a good thing that we had the #1 rated jfl crew in the area call the game.

Ashland has some very nice young talent coming up. Rogers and Davis both are quick, hard running, backs. I also like Stafford on defense.

I was told by a very reliable source that one of the calls had to do with some racial slurs being made to Rashard Carter by some of the Greenup County kids. Rashard got called for unsportsmanlike when he responded back.

Whats this all about? This crew is one of the top varsity crews in the region, with 3 of the officials having worked the KHSAA State Championships in Louisville! Do not understand your comment at all!

This goes back to the Greenup-Raceland game. A post was made complaining about the officals in that game doing Raceland jfl and their varisity game. At least 3 of the officials from last nights game will be calling the jfl at Ashland Sunday. Thats the way it works the refs call games all over the region.
