Congrats to Cooper ! And to the Bearcats for not giving up when down at the half. After watching another Walton game , I truley think that Bearcats need to re-think their offense and play calling ( IMO ) and put some work in with the Def backs at practice.

I believe he is one of the few seniors on Cooper's team if I'm not mistaken.

Romero is one of 5 seniors on the team, Very lopsided beginning but WV made a great run in the 2nd half.

Congrats to the Players, student body and the Cooper boosters for their win.

Congratulations Cooper High. It's unfortunate that the state wide HS recap /scoreboard show was not aware of Cooper's existence. A former Commisioner and his co-host could not name the county, etc. Maybe they can talk to the head coach this week and learn about the newest high school in Boone County.

Thats not a big secret. However I know I do wish him and his staff the best of luck at Cooper. I played for him while at Ludlow, and IMO he is a great coach. I think if the Cooper faithful stay patient, and give him time. That he definitely will turn Cooper into a very good football program.

 

The same can be said for Coach McMillen at Walton. I think that Walton program will start to have a real good team starting really soon.

Having watched Walton play several times this year, I was suprised that they started the game in a "prevent" defense, 3-4 with extra safety, they always played a 5-3 before that. This, I presume, was to slow down the Cooper QB, Romero, didn't work. WV scored first, but Cooper had 3 TD's in first quarter, another early in the 2nd. WV went to 5-3 and put their DE's back on the field, Cooper did not score after that. WV also missed all of their PAT's/conversions (4 points). Fourth quarter was very exciting, fumbled return, interception. In the end, WV could not throw the ball well enough to come back.

 

Active crowds for both teams, it was a good environment!
