October 16, 200818 yr Author Links????? Was Obama lying when he denied ever training ACORN or is he lying now? I saw on CNN a few minutes ago
October 16, 200818 yr I saw on CNN a few minutes ago You did not answer my question. Was Obama lying before or is he lying now? I do not recall any mention of the training sessions last night. Do you believe that Obama simply forgot?
October 16, 200818 yr Wrong yet again . . . Obama did represent them 13 years ago Obama was a guest speaker at an ACORN training session (twice) he was not a trainer. McCain spoke to them two years ago and told them "they were what was good about America. The money went to a group that then gave a small percentage of it to ACORN. He did not give the money to an ACORN affiliated group. ACORN has turned in all of the canvassers that they have found who submitted false registrations. ACORN is not under investigation, reported on news just about 30 minutes ago, some of their contractors are and the names are continuing to be turned over. ACORN works with the local secretaries of state to prevent "registration fraud" - there has, BTW, been no link to voter fraud AT ALL. You obviously have never dealt with ACORN. I have personal experience with them and it is a perfect name for this group of nuts. And the easiest dots to connect are that Obama's campaign paid them over $800,000 (which you will notice Obama did not deny) for this 'get out the vote' campaign. He distributed money to them from the Woods Foundation where he was on the board with Ayers. So they paid ACORN to 'get out the vote' and this is how the organization handles the situation. But Obama cannot say anything bad about ACORN (who has a long history of this), instead blames it on a few rogue employees. Well, in my world, most businesses are held accountable for the actions of their employees and the investors hold them accountable as well. Not Obama's campaign. ACORN lies, PERIOD. I have experienced them up close and personal and can tell you just how disgusting their tactics can be. I am sure the Obama campaign has given money from very legit organizations. He should list them. This, however, is not one of them. This organization pushed for banks to lend money to people who were not creditworthy, protested against banks who wouldn't, pushed legislators to loosen up the regulations and put pressure on banks to do it, then protested against those same banks for charging a higher interest rate. As we all know, your interest rate is a direct ratio to the risk factor for a customer possibly defaulting on a loan. They had a hand in this mortgage mess. Not the only hand, by far, but they were a negative factor none the less.
October 16, 200818 yr Author You did not answer my question. Was Obama lying before or is he lying now? I do not recall any mention of the training sessions last night. Do you believe that Obama simply forgot? What I believe is that Obama thinks it is a moot issue and does not need to spend time on it. Again, why should this make me vote for McCain, if there is an affiliation?
October 16, 200818 yr What I believe is that Obama thinks it is a moot issue and does not need to spend time on it. Again, why should this make me vote for McCain, if there is an affiliation? You still did not answer the question. Obama described his entire relationship with Ayers as his representation of the organization in a single lawsuit 13 years ago. By your own account, that is not his only association with ACORN. Why did he not come clean last night?
October 16, 200818 yr The Obama campaign paid an ACORN affiliated company $832,000. While we all admire your eloquence, we've got pay attention to what you say. Additionally, the Obama campaign paid a political consulting group called Citizens' Services' Inc. more than $800,000 early this year for vote canvassing, such as knocking on doors and urging people to vote. The group in turn subcontracted a "small amount" of those funds to ACORN "for recruitment and training of canvassers." http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/10/16/fact-check-was-doing-legal-work-obamas-only-involvement-with-acorn/

October 16, 200818 yr If you pay attention to the polls you will notice that everytime McCain/Palin spend a great deal of time talking about these things their poll numbers drop?? Even tonight, if you watched CNN or saw the people with Lutz?? on Fox, undecides are not buying into it. They don't seem to care. I know it is very important to many people on this very conservative board, but is the McCain camp not smart enough to know that it is ultimately going to lose him the election?? I guess you guys think that if he keeps hammering that some of the independents/moderate republicans/moderate democrats will finally "see the light" and think that Obama is dangerous. The problem is, all the polls and people are telling the campaign that it drives them away. Again tonight, McCain came out strong and his numbers were good until we got to the Ayers/Acorn stuff and all of a sudden his numbers began to fall. The base is his, what is he going to do now because nobody else is. McCain is preaching to the choir and needs to be going after the undecided voters. This is pleasing the Limbaugh crowd, but turning others off.

My understanding is that the two groups have employees in common. ACORN has many tentacles.
October 16, 200818 yr I will just respond/comment on the thread title.....Ayers/Acorn Ayers - confirmed terrorist, had a house guest a few years ago (not 40yrs. either) that launched his political carrer and planning in Ayers (a terrorist and a terrorist supporter today) living room, yet he says he had not had any dealings with him . That mans name is Barock Obama. Otherwise known as "BaCrock" and/or "Ducky" (for his aproach to any important question). ACORN - This is a good name for this organization, they are a bunch of Nuts! Also have a member/organizer/ financial provider by the name of Barock Obama. Otherwise known as BaCrock or "Ducky" (for his approach to any important question) (Both of the above have one obvious connection... Barock Obama.) Also and on a side note....Why do Obama supporters seem to gt upset when someone refers to him as Barock Hussien Obama :sssh:? Hussien is a part of the mans name isn't it?

Quite a coincidence for two unaffiliated organizations, wouldn't you say? Here, take a look for yourself: View Larger Map CNN may believe that these organization are totally separate entitites but I know better and now you do too. There is a reason why Obama initially reported payments to CCI as lighting, polling, advance work, travel, etc. (i.e., everthing except the real purpose of the spending). Obama later filed amended reports with the FEC long after the Ohio primary was over Obama to amend report on $800,000 in spending By David M. Brown TRIBUNE-REVIEW Friday, August 22, 2008 U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat's campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports. An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in "get-out-the-vote" projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary. FEC spokeswoman Mary Brandenberger said it is not unusual for campaigns to amend reports, even regarding large sums of money. But, said Blair Latoff, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee: "Barack Obama's failure to accurately report his campaign's financial records is an incredibly suspicious situation that appears to be an attempt to hide his campaign's interaction with a left-wing organization previously convicted of voter fraud. For a candidate who claims to be practicing 'new' politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the 'old-style' Chicago politics of yesterday." I suggest that if you are going to use CNN as your fact checker that you check their facts before calling somebody out on their say-so.
