October 13, 200817 yr I'm still unsure of why it was wrong of the hockey crowd to boo Palin. They weren't booing a six year old girl and her mother. They were booing a candidate for vice president of the United States. This was obviously done for political purposes. If she chooses to bring her family along out on the ice, then she is putting them in play. WOW I must say that this response really surprises me, especially from someone who has been so "offended" by the behavior of McCain supporters.

I would have said the same thing had it been Obama and one of his girls. Booing is quite different then yelling out "terrorist!" and "kill him!" don't you think?
October 13, 200817 yr For hockey fans, they were on their best behavior. They do make a great cheese steak sandwich though! For Philly fans as well. Ain't that the truth.
October 13, 200817 yr I'm no Palin fan, but booing with the little girl there is wrong. Philly fans should be ashamed. Philly fans have no shame. And most of them are proud of the fact that they have a reputation of being jerks.

As you said, if he didn't want the heat he shouldn't have entered the fray. And no, I think both are examples of boorish behavior. Will The Messiah be chastising his followers over this? I won't hold my breath.

Not holding your breath is an excellent decision.
October 13, 200817 yr Is there any wonder why cheesesteak sandwiches are so big? It's tough to make something big enough to fit in Philly fan's mouth...
October 13, 200817 yr "Kill him!" is NOT comparable with booing. Neither is respectful, but booing does not promote violence. For the record I would STRONGLY denounce any use of violent language such as "kill her!" or "terrorist!" that would be made against Palin. This is a hockey game, not a night at the sympthany. Booing is quite common.
October 23, 200817 yr Although I'm digging this thread up... May it be noted that she has cursed the Flyers... They are winless so far this season:sssh:
