I agree 100% Adams was the best player on the field.

 

Adams is definitely Middlesboro's best player, however, holding him to only 74yards rushing I doubt he was the best player on the field on Friday.

I would have to say Caleb Watkins was the best player on the field. Adams is an excellent player as well.

Adams is a very good player, but one-two punch of Watkins and Campbell led Corbin to victory.

Plus the Hounds continued make the plays on defense during crunch time.

What district are you talking about? Is it district 7? I think the #1 and #2 seeds are Prestonsburg and Bath County.

 

Could you explain to me the old format, because I really don't understand the plan for the playoffs?

 

The way the playoffs appear to stack up if remaining games go as expected:

1st Round

Morgan Co. at Corbin

Leslie Co. at Bath Co.

Knott Central at Prestonsburg

Shelby Valley at Middlesboro

 

2nd Round(probable match-ups)

Bath Co. at Corbin

Middlesboro at Prestonsburg

We don't care and I hope we never play that bunch again! So get over it and take your Bell County comments to another thread. And after what happened at Corbin just recently in a seventh grade game I would say the chances of ever playing Bell Co. again in varsity football are slim to none. I know as long as "Dudley's" boys are there you can forget it.

Caleb Watkins was a man among boys.......again. Great game from Campbell as well.

Corbin is clearly the better team IMO and Michael Campbell was the guy that was a man among boys. Watkins has good speed, but Campbell looked like a beast on both sides of the ball and does an excellent job kicking also. Give the kid (campbell) his props, he looked like the guy that will be very instrumental in getting them deep in the playoffs, especially with Fritz done for the year.

Having Bell Co. fans in every Corbin thread saying things like this is getting old. Maybe I can get the Belfry fans to try and hijack every Bell Co. thread by asking why Bell Co. keeps dodging Belfry.

 

Both defenses played well in this game, but both offenses need to improve some to advance real far in the playoffs.

Lots of bragging rights were at stake in this game, and Corbin won them. Lots of history between these two programs too, these are the ingrediants for a great rivalry.

 

There is no doubt Corbin was the better team Friday night, as indicated by the score board which in the long and short of it is all that matters. Both teams will be better for having played it and I am sure if Middlesboro is lucky enough to get back to the region championship it will be another heated game. Before anyone gets mad I say lucky enough becuase they will have to upset P-Burg since they appear to be the #1 in the opposite district while Corbin will be the #1 in this district.

 

As for Friday night it is in the books......
