I am not talking about the backfield. I am talking about putting linemen in that will do the job. At least put them in and see what they can do. They could not do any worse that what was on the field. Those boys want a chance and cant get it. You have Helton, Haggard, Rice, Aubrey, Willams (plays varsity but not oline), as well as others. It would not hurt this team to play them at varsity level to see what they can do. Cant hurt when u have not line blocking to start with. not just this lose either. There was NCC, Conner, Ryle and Boone. All games pretty much lost due to blocking.

 

Just a general observation: its a very rare O or D sophomore lineman that is physically mature and strong enough to start and perform well on the varsity level. Maybe SK has them, but I'd be surprised. Big, big difference from playing very well as frosh linemen against kids their same age to playing as sophomores against seniors whom have been in the weight room and been practicing techniques for two additional years.

Couldn't agree with you more .And unlike some people think, SK doesn't have the physical sophomores that are ready. Or else they would be playing.
