Is Griffey Done?

Featured Replies

He has already had knee surgery this off season.

I know that but no one really knows how sever the surgery was. they just said they "cleaned it up"

Lets put it this way, Barry Bonds is a much better hitter today and no one has signed him. Clearly no one is going to be signing Jr for his glove.

I would like to see him keep playing, once last chance for a ring.

But what title contender has any use for him? I can't see any team in which he plays a signifigant role being very good.

He will play next year..I hope..

I agree. Barry Bonds is a completely different topic though.

I think Griffey could play somewhere. I believe his knee surgery was arthroscopic, so he'll have plenty of time to heal.

Personally, if I was Junior, I would pick out 2-3 teams that I'd be willing to play for and see what happens. If that doesn't work out, then I'd enjoy my millions and spend more time with my family.

He was done a long time ago. When you tear and ACL trying to pick up the telephone it's time to call it quits.

He will play somewhere!

If he wants to play, and isn't going to be holding out for a particular amount of money, someone will sign him.

He'll be a Mariner next year.

Agreed. He is beloved there.
