Congrats to the camels. #43 was an excitement to watch, the music was great, and the facility was nice. Too bad the P.A. announcer had to ruin the whole game. I think he really liked to hear himself talk.

Boy, you sure sound confident! :lol: Probably?? Once again, I think too many underestimate what the Royals can do. But I will agree with you on one thing james-russell... it will be sad if Russell wins!!

I'll go with snooze. The announcer was the worst I"ve ever had to endure.

Royals gave the ball 3 times on turnovers and still scored 28.

 

So, much for Mason Co. only being able to score via the safety......:laugh:

 

:thumb: I'll give the Royals credit, they did put up points that noone has been able to do against the Camel D all year. But, the three turnovers didn't hurt the Royals, the 450 yards that the Defense gave up was what hurt them.

Give me a break. He was going on about people coming back from vacation, wedding anniversaries, etc. He kept trying to be funny without success. And the volumn was so loud I couldn't converse about the game with my friend sitting next to me. I've been going to football games for nearly 50 years. This guy was as bad as any I've heard.

 

BTW - I thought the Campbell County players showed good sportsmanship and were very well coached. Left me wondering how Boone Co. beat them.

He is our Highlands canon, you love it when you are home home team, hate it if you are the opposing team.

It is "Home-field advantage". The announcer is always sure to give credit where due to the opposing team! Any fan should love to have and enjoy him at their stadium

The announcer would have been tolerable if he just would have quit talking between plays. I don't come to a game to listen to the announcer. I come to watch the game and discuss what's going on with my friends as it happens. As I said before, we couldn't talk between ourselves comfortably because the volumn was so high and he never shut up. At points the game was interrupting him!

 

Mason County has a cannon too. It only makes noise when a TD is scored. Almost everybody likes a cannon.

Boone Co. beat CC hands down, but the talk that their defense is that much better is not warrented (see Cooper/CCHS post)
