If I had to rank the top 10 in the NFC, it would be as follows. There is no criteria for my picks, other than opinion.

1. Terrell Owens

2. Steve Smith

3. Larry Fitzgerald

4. Plaxico Burress

5. Greg Jennings

6. Marques Colston

7. Anquan Boldin

8. Roy Williams

9. Bernard Berrian

10. Torry Holt

Based on shear talent, consistency, and significance to their team, I say outside of the top ten:

1. T.O.

2. Steve Smith

3. Randy Moss

4. Braylon Edwards

5. Larry Fitzgerald

6. Anquan Boldin

7. Marques Colston

8. Reggie Wayne

9. TJ Houshmanzadeh

10. Andre Johnson

I'd put him in the 14-17 range with guys like Santonio Holmes, Greg Jennings, Roy Williams, Bobby Engram, etc... the Giants are a run dominated team and they have numerous solid receivers, they will function just fine without him.

He stretches the field...their offense will look quite different without him. People will stack the box and make somebody else be a vertical threat. Like him or not he is a very solid reciever.

Did you watch the playoffs last year? Without Plax, the Giants aren't super bowl champs.

I just wanted to compare the numbers from the past 4 years with a few of the guys you have listed ahead of Plax. And here's how I would rank them.

* Randy Moss (04-07) - 3,818 yards, 47 TD's

* Reggie Wayne (04-07) - 5085 yards, 36 TD's

* TJ Houshmandzadeh (04-07) - 4,158 yards, 32 TD's

* Larry Fitzgerald (04-07) - 4,544 yards, 34 TD's

* Plaxico Burress (04-07) - 3,925 yards, 34 TD's

* Steve Smith (04-07) - 3,791 yards, 27 TD's.

* Anquan Boldin (04-07) - 4,081 yards, 21 TD's

* Marques Colston (06-07) - 2,240 yards, 19 TD's

* Braylon Edwards (05-07) - 2,685 yards, 25 TD's

* Andre Johnson (04-07) - 3,828 yards, 21 TD's

So Plax isn't that far behind regarding numbers. He is only behind 4 guys in total receiving yards, and only behind 2 guys in TD's.

Some other guys I'd include in my own list would be Chad Johnson and Torry Holt.

My top 10...

1. Randy Moss

2. Terrell Owens

3. Brandon Marshall

4. Reggie Wayne

5. Larry Fitzgerald

6. Calvin Johnson

7. Plaxico Burress

8. Braylon Edwards

9. Greg Jennings

10. Andre Johnson

Just my opinion, based on a mix of potential, career results and 2008 results...I think Braylon Edwards had the potential to move up a few spots, but his season to date drops him.

Without their running backs the Giants aren't in the playoffs last season, AND DEFINATELY aren't super bowl champs.
