SvFan4life Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 He says he's done with sports movies and is moving on to other projects. This coming after some people said he looked funny in a golf outfit and that he should be in a golf movie. http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=10199&count=0
bigblueinsanity Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 It don't matter what movie he's in, it will be funny.
UKPat02 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I think Farrell in general has kind of run his course.
SvFan4life Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 ^ He needs to quit trying so hard. The last few movies have been overdone and not really funny.
halfback20 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 It don't matter what movie he's in, it will be funny. Have you seen Blades of Glory? That movie was not funny.
h-dothework-c Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Have you seen Step Brothers, that movie is hilarious.
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Anchorman 2 is supposedly on the table and I hope it happens. I know he has turned down chances to be in sequels for many of this other films, I just hope he goes forward with this one. Bring back the ENTIRE cast and do it again, it would be well worth it. As for sports movies, I don't really care, I would love him to try something different anyway.
bigblueinsanity Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008  Have you seen Blades of Glory? That movie was not funny. That movie was very funny imo. That was a great movie.
ScarHeel Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 The director of the first Anchorman, Adam McKay, said the 2nd one would be released after his other project, 'Channel 3 Billion', which is set to hit theaters in 2010.
titletownclown Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008  That movie was very funny imo. That was a great movie. :thumb: Any movie with a character named Chaz Michael Michaels has to be at least a little funny.
UKMustangFan Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 ^ He needs to quit trying so hard. The last few movies have been overdone and not really funny. Step Brothers was one of his funniest works IMO...
outlawcoach Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Have you seen Blades of Glory? That movie was not funny. It needed more "cow bell"!!!:laugh:
titletownclown Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Bummer this news. I was hoping for a movie in which Ferrell plays a synchronized swimmer whose dream is to make it to the olympics. Maybe something that takes the old SNL skit with Harry Shearer and Martin Short and expands on that concept.
MountainThunder Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008  That movie was very funny imo. That was a great movie. I agree. I laughed my butt off. But it is getting to the point of overkill with Ferrell. He is funny, but a lot of it is becoming so repetitive that it is losing its freshness. Sort of like Jim Carey, except that I believe he can really act and not just be a goofball all the time.
