He says he's done with sports movies and is moving on to other projects. This coming after some people said he looked funny in a golf outfit and that he should be in a golf movie.

I think Farrell in general has kind of run his course.

Anchorman 2 is supposedly on the table and I hope it happens. I know he has turned down chances to be in sequels for many of this other films, I just hope he goes forward with this one.

 

Bring back the ENTIRE cast and do it again, it would be well worth it.

 

As for sports movies, I don't really care, I would love him to try something different anyway.

Bummer this news. I was hoping for a movie in which Ferrell plays a synchronized swimmer whose dream is to make it to the olympics. Maybe something that takes the old SNL skit with Harry Shearer and Martin Short and expands on that concept.

I agree. I laughed my butt off. But it is getting to the point of overkill with Ferrell. He is funny, but a lot of it is becoming so repetitive that it is losing its freshness.

 

Sort of like Jim Carey, except that I believe he can really act and not just be a goofball all the time.
