Biggest surprise of the night?

Featured Replies

Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" taking top honors on VH1's "Top 100 Songs of the 80's". Personally, I thought Pour Some Sugar on Me should have beat it out.

 Nice work. :thumb:

Biggest surprise of the night.......no one has posted on the Ashland/Russell thread in about 2 1/2 hours !

This doesn't surprise me. From what I'm hearing , John Hardin is the team to beat.

You wouldn't be sandbagging a bit in the hopes of firing up your team, would you? :D

I'm surprised that Henry Clay was a failed two-point conversion away from beating Cincinnati Lasalle. Lasalle spanked them last time they played. HC is really struggling this year, too!

Also, I predicted (incorrectly, it seems) that Boyle County was going to beat Lafayette pretty badly, which didn't happen.

And finally, Trinity handling Cincy St. X is a headline-grabber. As much as it pains me to write this since I have always considered my alma mater Highlands to be right there at the VERY tip-top of KY prep football... Trinity is UNDOUBTEDLY in its own class when it comes to prep football in this state, with programs like Louisville Saint X, Highlands and Male competing for a (VERY distant) second.

Eloquently spoken by a Birds supporter.

I was suprised at the Bell Co vs. Rockcastle Co score. BC was favored going in, but I didnt think the Rockets would be kept totally out of the endzone.

Breathitt Co. & Estill was somewhat surprising given that it was at Breathitt. I have not heard much talk about the Engineers, looks like they might be a contender.

Yeah Bear Paw it makes next week game Bears vs Bobcats even more big and the Bears also have Estill at home too! We just might have the district this year and the road to state may go through Harlan County!!!!!!

Who's building these roads ! ?:scared:

Just kidding, had to say it...sorry.

Although, that is a big game next week! Should ( will ) be interesting to say the least.:thumb:

They might be in their half of the state but Highlands is the team to beat in any class.

Do you think that Highlands is the best team in the state, overall?

I would love to see them play Trinity and St X wouldn't you?

^ Absolutely I would.

I was very surprised by the Fort Campbell vs. Paducah Tilghman score. Really thought this might be a test for the Falcons on the road, surely not a shut-out. Most of the Falcon starters were out by the end of the 3rd quarter or the score would have really been lopsided.

Bell dominating Rockcastle like they did I heard that they only had 1 first down and 30 yards of offense in the first half but I have heardn't anything else. I think that this proves that they didn't take Knox Central last weekend very serious.
