Good job Bears! Man the Black Bear Nation traveled in force tonight.

 

Lee High has a very good team. QB was awsome! Serious set of wheels, I'm talkin' 24's. Score was tied at 14 at the half. HC made adjustments at the half that made the difference. First half we could not contain the QB.

Impressive win at Lee tonight. Lee had 111 yards rushing in the first half and ended the game with 114. The Black Bear defense really turned it up the second half. I can't wait until Friday night.

Is your new field ready? Where is the High School located?

Bears looked like a different team in the second half. They could have beaten Lee by more but played some young kids at last. Great win for the Bears and get ready to win this district and send those Bobcats back across the mountain and then derail the Engineers.

Actually construction of our new field has not yet started. Donations will gladly be accepted.:ylsuper:Moma Bear and the boosters are doing an excellent job fund raising though, hopefully by next year we will have a stadium.

 

The school is located approx. 4 miles North of Baxter on US 119 (Rosspoint).

I think the Black Bears underestimated Lee County a little as I think some of us did also and felt like they didn't have to play to beat them, but Coach Larkey marched them up the hill at halftime and lit a fire in them. The D was very impressive in the second half. They will need that focus and a little more grit next Friday but as good as they have looked, Breathitt will be in for a battle. Also the Helmet will be out for its first game. Go Bears!

Gilliam 179 yards on 17 carries. That has moved him up to 8 ypc now.

 

The Bears defense racking up those sacks week after week.

 

I believe the offense has over 1400 yards now in 4 games, if not it is real close.

 

Everyone seems to be clicking, now to get everyone back and stay healthy.

 

They need to be healthy and have everyone this week against Breathitt County, they will be TOUGH. This will be a very crowded event.
