Zambrano throws no-hitter

Plus, you play the games now, you know the games mean something and both teams will play their best players. They wait until the year is over to play all 3 games, the Cubs could have everything wrapped up and would rest everybody.

Yes, you will run into that problem in any sport regardless, but it was best to play as many as possible before the end of the season.

Again, if McClane had chosen to relocate Thursday when it was obvious Ike was going to hit Houston, they could have played one game Saturday and two games Sunday with a day off today. All three would have gotten in. When McClane refused to budge until Saturday, MLB had no other choice because the player's union was not going to approve two games Sunday and one today.

I know, I was very upset that he kept holding out to play the games in Houston. If the roles were reversed, I would be upset as a fan, but would understand why it needed to be moved.

I guess it really shows how hard a time they are having meeting payroll demands there

What about the 3rd game?

For some reason I was thinking this was a two game series.

McClane definitely screwed up, but it was a huge advantage for Chicago. I do not see how you can argue otherwise.

A lot of people do not realize how close Chicago is to Milwaukee, especially on the north side. We are talking 1 hr - 1 1/2 hrs. The Astros arrived 2 hours before the first pitch, many of which had friends that had yet to hear from or power restored to their homes.

Kudos to Z. Big performance.

I agree, but the bolded is the fault of McClane for thinking they could stay in Houston and play the games. The team plane was the only plane at the Houston airport Sunday.

And good to see Bell ruined that for us, thanks. Cubs have a 6-0 lead, so I don't really care.

Hence, my first sentence ;)

What channel is the game on?

What channel is the game on?

It's not on, he just got through the 6th, so if he gets through the next two I would expect ESPN to show us live coverage.

With that said, I don't expect this to continue that much longer, there is a reason why the Cubs have gone "a while" without winning anything.

I will enjoy looking at this for the next few minutes though.
