:sssh:First thing I thought when I realized he was still in the game in the 8th.

Once he got through 6, I looked at his pitch count. I was happy to see it was only 70 or so through 6. I figured there was no way Lou would pull him since he was that close and had "only" thrown 100 pitches going into the 9th.

 

"Hopefully" the Cubs can all but wrap up the division on the upcoming homestand against the Brewers and Cards. They can then give everyone rest and set up the rotation for the 1st round of the playoffs.

110 pitches, is a little over 12 per inning. That is outstanding.

First no-hitter thrown against the Astros in 11 seasons.

 

It was the first no-hitter by a Cubs pitcher since Milt Pappas did so Sept. 2, 1972.
